UPDATE: Ruble resumes rise against US dollar, euro on Syria news

MOSCOW, Apr 11 (PRIME) -- The ruble rose 58 kopecks against the U.S. dollar to 62.45 as of 7:10 p.m., Moscow time on Wednesday on the Moscow Exchange after Pentagon said that evidence about a supposed chemical weapons use in Syria is yet incomplete.
The ruble increased 60 kopecks against the euro to 77.25.
The Russian currency dove by 1.77 rubles against the U.S. dollar to 64.79 and it dropped 2.31 rubles against the euro to 80.16 at 2:12 p.m., Moscow time after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened Moscow in a post on his Twitter account.
“Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!” he said.
Russian stocks closed mixed with the MOEX Russia Index rising 0.85% to 2,192.15 and the RTS decreasing 0.67% to 1,083.53.
The shares of exporters supported the MOEX Russia Index on the back of oil price growth.
